A collection of audio recordings made by sound artists Antonia Nowacka and Sholto Dobie investigating the latent acoustic phenomenon in the lakes of Šimonių Giria and Labanoro Giria and abandoned bunkers in Antakalnis, Vilnius.
In their recordings Nowacka’s voice echoes across swampy bodies of water and through underground tunnel networks. Her lament-like melodies drift in and out of focus, at times blurring amongst the insects, weather and birds that rustle against the microphone that Dobie used to document the events.
